–Mars defeated Kiski Area 89-62. Four Mars players scored in double-figures led by Khori Fusco with 23.
Girls Basketball:
–Seneca Valley defeated Fox Chapel 50-41. Gretchen Koken led the Raiders with 16.
–Armstrong upset defending state champion Mars 29-28.
–North Catholic defeated Burrell 85-19. Kylee Lewandowski led the Trojans with 17.
–Freeport defeated Knoch 47-39. Sydney Shemanski led the Yellow Jackets with 12.
The Knoch swimmers split with Shady Side Academy. The Knoch boys won 92-77. The Shady Side girls won 93-75.
The Butler Rifle team had a perfect night in an 800-795 victory over Penn-Trafford.
The Butler Middle School Hockey team remained unbeaten after a 5-5 tie last night against McDowell in Erie.
Butler had five different goal scorers, led by Brayden Povlick and Aaron Shoup with a goal and an assist each. Butler’s next game will be Friday, January 25th at the Lemieux Center in Cranberry against North Catholic. Face-off is 8:40pm.
