A local state lawmaker is stepping down.
Senator Don White has announced he will retire from the Pennsylvania State Senate as of Feb. 28.
“This is a day that I knew was coming, I just didn’t know when. I’ve been back and forth on this issue for the better part of a year. When I came here, I was 50 years old but I felt like I was 30. I was full of energy, anxious to do a good job, but now I’m 69 and I feel like I’m 89,” White said Tuesday.
White made the retirement announcement as part of the Senate’s session on Tuesday in the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
