Penn State Extension is offering help to food service operations to meet new state requirements that go into effect next year.
A ServSafe Food Safety Manager Course is planned for Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Penn State Extension Butler County offices. That class will continue the following Thursday, Feb. 28.
This training meets the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirements for the Food Employee Certification Act. Participants will learn the safe purchasing, storing, handling and preparation of food, as well as food allergens, pest control and proper sanitizing procedure.
Course fee is $185 and reservations can be made online through Penn State Extension’s website.
