Leroy E. Carson, 81, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 13, 2019 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was born on May 23, 1937 to the late Virginia (Kemp) and Lewis Carson. Leroy worked for forty years for the County of Butler where he retired as the supervisor of the bridge department.
Leroy was an avid golfer and Steelers fan. Woodworking and spending time at his Vacationland camp were his favorite pastimes. He was a founding member of the Happy Hunters Sportsman’s Club, a member of East Butler Firemans Club and a lifetime member of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lucille Neigh Morrow Carson; two children, Phyllis (Mike) May and James (Sherry) Carson; four stepchildren, Wanda (Tony) Manculich, Ruth Ann (Heinz) Augustine, Marsha (Floyd) Fisher, and Angie (Eric) Chepelsky. Also surviving are three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren. 2 brothers: David Carson and Douglas (Judy) Carson.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by seven siblings.
Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2019 from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM at East Butler Presbyterian Church, 900 Randolph Ave. East Butler, PA. with Pastor Mary Kitchen officiating.
Interment will be at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery, Worthington, PA.
