Marilyn Jean Blair, 72, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 21, 2019 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born October 8, 1946 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Harry E. Blair and the late Jane I. Polliard Blair.
Marilyn worked at Citizens National Bank in Butler and Evans City. She retired from Sunnyview Nursing Home Business Office. Marilyn also worked part-time at the Butler County Prison in the Commissary. She was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. Marilyn had an amazing love for her dogs. She liked rescuing the older dogs so she could give them their final home. Marilyn had 16 dogs of her own over the years and also took in others for a day or until someone wanted them. She always said she would do anything for a dog but people not as much, but funny as that statement was she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Marilyn loved working outside and sitting on her deck reading with her dogs in the yard or right there on the porch with her. She was a fan of Lucille Ball and loved watching the I Love Lucy shows.
Marilyn is survived by her three sisters, Janet (Leroy) Edinger of Butler, PA, Elaine Bieber of Butler, PA, Linda (Ed) Kotermanski of Cheswick, PA; one brother, Larry Blair of Phoenix, AZ; and five nephews and four nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bill Bieber.
