The Slippery Rock University men will host Mercyhurst tonight in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference basketball tournament quarterfinals. Tip-off at Morrow Field House is 7pm. It is the Rock’s first time to host a quarterfinal round game since 2009, but is their ninth trip to the postseason in the past 11 years.
The Robert Morris men host St. Francis-Brooklyn tonight in the Northeast Conference quarterfinals. The Colonials making their 16th consecutive appearance in the tournament, the longest active streak in the conference. Tip-off is 7pm.
The Miami Hurricanes defeated the Pitt Panthers 76-63 last night, extending the Panthers losing streak to 13 games in a row. Pitt has now lost 24 consecutive games on the road.
The Duquesne women’s basketball team defeated Rhode Island 106-69 last night in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 tournament. The Dukes are the #3-seed in the tournament, and set a school record for points scored in the first quarter with 42 and points scored in the first half with 66. They finished the game 10 points away from the school record for points scored in a game.
