Local veterans will have a chance to get their taxes prepared for free later this week.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers on Wednesday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Abie Abraham VA Butler HealthCare Center on North Duffy Road in Center Township, Butler County.
Those with individual or family income of less than $50,000 can have their taxes prepared and e-filed for free.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, also known as VITA, is made possible by the Center for Community Resources and the United Way of Butler County.
