The Butler Area School District is continuing a program to encourage reading in the summer but help is needed from the public now to keep it going.
‘The BookStop’ is a vehicle loaded with books that will drive though different areas of the district this summer giving free books to kids. The initiative was started last year.
In order to make this effort possible, the district is currently holding a book drive at all schools and the central office through Friday, April 12.
Anyone looking to pass along new or gently used books for kids pre-school through 12 years old is asked to donate.
