Two people were injured in an accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in Butler Township.
Around 4:30 p.m. emergency responders were called out to a crash involving three vehicles at the intersection of Evans City Road and Whitestown Road.
According to State Police, 33-year-old motorists Kyle Baker of Butler was following two other vehicles when he became distracted and ran into the back of a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Douglas Leonburg of Slippery Rock. The collision pushed that vehicle into a third vehicle driven by 43-year-old Aaron Moninger of Butler who was not injured.
Both Leonburg and his passenger sustained minor injuries and the passenger was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for further treatment. Baker was not injured but was cited for a traffic violation. Crews remained at that scene for about 90 minutes.
