Police have released more information about a two-vehicle head on crash that backed up traffic earlier this week in Butler Township.
The crash occurred on Tuesday just after 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 8 south and Litman Road.
According to Butler Township Police, a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Eli Kazousky of Templeton was traveling south in the left lane and then drifted into the right northbound lane. Kazousky then collided with a tractor trailer head on.
The trailer was operated by 38-year-old Albert Lopez of Clewiston, Florida and both vehicles needed to be towed the scene after the crash.
At the time of the accident a hand injury was reported but police say no further medical treatment was provided.
Kazousky was charged with careless driving and traffic was shutdown to one lane for an hour in each direction.
