Attorney General Dave Sunday has joined a coalition of states objecting to a federal bill that would restrict state regulation for artificial intelligence (A.I.).
Congress is considering two bills that would limit a state’s power to regulated A.I. and the ability to police current A.I. laws.
Pennsylvania currently has two laws on the books that activity police A.I., one that requires mandated reporters to report A.I. images of child sexual abuse material and the use of A.I. for healthcare practices.
The state has also already charged six individuals with using A.I. to create child sex abuse material.
