Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced results for the National ‘Operation Robocall Roundup’ from illegal robocall providers.
In August the Attorney General sent letters to 37 voice providers who were suspected robocallers.
Sunday says 13 companies were removed from the Federal Communications Commission and providers in the U.S. no longer will accept their call traffic.
19 companies stopped appearing in any traceback results, meaning these companies stopped allowing suspected illegal robocalls.
Finally, at least four providers terminated contracts with high-risk customer accounts.
51 Attorney Generals in the United States have joined forces to create the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force, to take legal action against these companies.
