The state’s top law enforcement official continues to pursue action against a company with a near-monopoly on tickets to live entertainment.
Attorney General Dave Sunday recently announced that he and a bipartisan coalition of Attorneys General will not accept a proposed settlement between the U.S. Department of Justice and Ticketmaster which is owned by Live Nation Entertainment.
Sunday believes that the settlement does not protect consumers who attend shows owned and operated by Live Nation as well as purchase tickets to the entertainment from Ticketmaster.
The legal action taken by this coalition of Attorneys General seeks to force Live Nation to divest Ticketmaster as well as award financial compensation for consumers who paid more than they should have for tickets in a competitive market.
