Chase Briscoe held off Kyle Larson to win the Nascar Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday. Briscoe led 175 laps of the race, while Larson hit the wall on the final lap trying to reel Briscoe in. Larson hit the wall and collided with Tyler Reddick at the finish line, but still managed to finish runner-up, with Reddick finishing third.
Denny Hamlin lost significant points to Larson after an early spin in the race. He recovered to finish 16th, but now trails Larson by 40 points as the drivers head to Charlotte this Sunday. At one point of the race, Larson was struggling with a car issue and lost a lap. Hamlin at that time was running in the top five and had taken the points lead, then spun. The resulting spin took away any stage points from Hamlin.
