Butler City will be getting two more new vehicles in the near future.
Butler City Council has approved the purchase of a 2025 Ford F550 for use in the Streets Department for just over $60,000 from McCandless Ford. This replaces a 2008 truck and will be paid for with the Liquid Fuels Tax Revenue Fund but will still need to be outfitted before use.
Also, the city approved the purchase of a Kubota zero turn mower from M and R Power Equipment for just over $17,000. Three bids were received and city employees are already familiar with this kind of vehicle. This new mower replaces an approximately 18 year old tractor and will be put into use as soon as it is picked up.
