The Butler Area School District will modify the schedule of secondary students for the first week of school.
Classes will begin as normal for Butler students in grades kindergarten through 6th on Tuesday, September 1st however students in grades 7 through 12 will use the week of September 1st to distribute laptops and other necessary technology devices.
This “soft open” for secondary students will allow for virtual orientation on the equipment before the first full, regular day of classes on Tuesday, September 8th. The district will also use this time to clean and move furniture after the completion of the construction project at the Senior High to switch the position of the Main Office with the library.
No days will need to be made up by secondary students as a result of this schedule revision.
