The Butler Area Public Library is adopting a cow this school year through the Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow program.
Next month the library will be informed of the breed of the calf, then in October there will be a match with the Host Farm and calf.
Throughout the year the library will receive updates on the calf and will do programs and activities associated with this project.
Library patrons will not be able to visit the calf at the library.
