A Butler man is in custody after threatening a Magisterial District Judge home and his staff.
Police say 54-year-old Matthew Dec of Butler made threatening comments about District Judge Lewis Stoughton while on the phone with staff at District Judge Kevin O’Donnell’s office. He allegedly threatened to burn down Stoughton’s home and also threatened Stoughton’s staff.
Dec was charged with Terroristic threats, harassment, and recklessly endangering another person are among some of his charges.
Dec was taken into custody without incident and is in the Butler County Prison now.
