Butler runner Slear performs top five at Nike Nationals

Butler high school distance runner Landon Slear traveled to Oregon in late June to compete in the prestigious Nike Nationals. Slear placed 5th overall in the freshman 800-meter race with a time of 1:57.30 The event is held at the world class Hayward Field track and field stadium at the University of Oregon.
