The Butler Area School District will continue to offer free meals for students during the upcoming school year.
District officials say all students enrolled in the Butler Area School District will be eligible to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day free of charge as a result of a waiver issued by the United States Department of Agriculture in April.
No action is required to take advantage of this program; however ala cart items will still be available for sale to students with a meal account in good standing.
Additional benefits are available for students determined to be eligible for free or reduced meal status such as free or reduced price activity participation or AP exams. To register or for more information, visit the website of the Butler Area School District.
