The Butler high school boys volleyball team have reached the WPIAL championship match for the first time in program history after a big semifinal win last night (5/18/26):
–Butler defeated Seneca Valley 3-2 to reach the title match. The Golden Tornado will meet North Allegheny who shut-out Baldwin 3-0 in the other semifinal match last night.
The championship game will be played Wednesday at Peters Township beginning at 8pm. Last night’s win guarantees Butler entry into the state tournament.
–Seneca Valley will meet Baldwin tomorrow night in a consolation match to determine the third Class 3A state qualifier.
