Carole J. Henderson, 91, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, while under the care of Concordia at the Orchard.
Born May 20, 1934 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mable (Patterson) Birch.
Carole was a 1952 graduate of Penn Twp. High School. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler where she was always extremely active. Carole was also a former member of the Century Club. She enjoyed dancing, music, walking, dining out, reading and going to the beach. Above all else, Carole adored her family, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was truly a beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her three children, Pamela (George) Miller, Scott (Lori) Henderson, and Leslie (Chris) Ray; six grandchildren, Megan (Torrie), Emily (Luke), Brittany (Zach), Brooke, Cameron, and Colton; three step-grandchildren, Jessica (Dave), Erica (Zack), and Lucas; five great grandchildren, Nora Sue, Wyatt, Nash, Skylar, and Graham; four step-great grandchildren, Willa, Grey, Henry, and Brooks; her brother, Thomas (Linda) Birch; several nieces and nephews, and her special dog, Bo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger W. Henderson, whom she married on September 5, 1958, and who passed away on September 13, 2012; her stepmother, Margaret “Bertie” Birch; two brothers, four sisters, four nephews, and two nieces.
Carole’s family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to Pastor Joel Benson and their Trinity Lutheran Church family, Dr. Bill DiCuccio, VNA Hospice, Concordia at the Orchard, Good Samaritan Hospice, Toni and Fay.
Family and friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Dr., Butler, PA 16001 with Pastor Joel Benson officiating. Everyone is kindly asked to please meet at the church.
She will be laid to rest along with her husband at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
