Negotiations remain ongoing between teachers and administration at the Mars School District.
The current collective bargaining agreement is set to expire today, and Mars teachers say the district is still coming up short in their offers.
A statement from union leaders say Mars is approving higher salary increases for district administrators, but not nearly enough for teachers.
They also say the average teacher’s salary is 20 percent lower than some neighboring districts.
Teachers also expressed concern over eliminating courses and rising healthcare rates.
