Developers are taking the next step with plans to bring a popular restaurant to Butler following a decision by the Butler Township Planning Commission.
Tuesday night the board heard from representatives of Chick-fil-A concerning a restaurant at Butler Crossing near Kohls.
The restaurant would be about 5,000 square feet with two drive-through lanes. According to engineers, about 25 vehicles would be expected during peak hours but the property would be able to accommodate 38 in line at any given time.
A decision by the Butler Township Zoning Hearing Board in August gave approval for this project to include the two canopies used for ordering and pickup that are common with most Chick-fil-A restaurants.
This project next moves on to a vote for final approval from the Butler Township Commissioners later this month. Once that has been achieved, construction is expected to begin sometime next summer for a possible opening early in 2027.
