The Butler City Landbank will open an account at NexTier Bank.
The group decided to open the account using the minimal amount required with funds coming from Butler City.
Opening the account and getting insurance for all signatories is a necessary step before the landbank is able to take possession of any properties such as the structure currently being demolished at 123 South Main Street.
A public meeting of the Butler City Landbank will take place every second Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Butler City Building Council Chambers.
