The heavy snow is finally out of the way but now the cleanup begins for residents.
The National Weather Service says the City of Butler reached just over 16 inches.
Residents north of Route 422 meanwhile saw higher totals, with some estimating they had 20 inches of accumulation.
The one-day totals were the most the Butler area has received since “Snowmageddon” of February 2010.
Road conditions are starting to improve as crews continue to work on clearing the snow.
With the snow beginning early Sunday morning, crews have been working non-stop in an effort to keep roads clear.
Starting this morning, PennDOT and local crews were finally able to put salt down, which helped in clearing roadways.
There are still some roads that are in rough shape, so local officials are asking that you only drive if it’s absolutely necessary.
