Butler County Commissioners have approved a contract for county bridges to be improved and inspected, while another project was table so more information could be gathered.
A contract with HRG has been agreed upon for the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for all Butler County bridges. The CIP will repair bridges in need and inspect all bridges for the rest of 2024. The contract will be for just over $85,000 and will be paid for using the $5 fee funds.
While the bid for the placement of steel bridge piles for the Keister Road bridge in Slippery Rock was tabled. There is currently only one offer and according to officials, the bid will be compared to similar projects and what they cost.
No word on when a final vote will be taken.
