Butler County’s Redevelopment Authority is beginning the process to apply for a new multi-million grant from the federal government.
The authority will apply for a $10 million grant that is offered through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development department.
Authority officials say the target of this money would help support housing initiatives for families that would be in the middle class.
County leaders say that this would be very helpful to help increase the amount of affordable housing for workers in the county.
The grant is very selective; only 20 awards will be made nationwide.
