Butler County is adding “Kratom” to its list of banned substances for those on probation.
County commissioners approved expanding testing in toxicology labs to include Kratom.
According to health officials, Kratom is sold as an energy boosting substance. But, the product is illegal for those under 21.
With Kratom being sold in convenient stores and readily available, county officials say its being easily accessed by the underage kids on probation.
