A Boyers couple are facing charges after it is alleged children were forced to live in deplorable conditions.
After interviewing three children, ages 10, 13, and 14-years-old, police say their father, 37-year-old Anthony White, and step-mother, 34-year-old Sara Jones, had the children living in a home covered in animal feces and urine.
White is also accused of only allowing one of the disabled children to use plastic bottles when needing to use the bathroom. The children also claim White would not take the disabled child to their required physical therapy sessions.
Police also accuse Jones of being an active participant of the alleged abuse. It’s alleged she would not stop or prevent White’s alleged actions but instead spend hours in bed.
One of the children also claim that White offered the child a marijuana pen on three separate occasions and gave a child a marijuana laced rice Krispy treat.
White and Jones are each facing three counts of endangering the welfare of children and three counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture, or deliver.
Preliminary hearings have been set for October 14 for both of the accused.
