Cranberry Township will be holding an event this weekend that will allow residents to retire old American flags.
The Retire Your Old Glory project will be at the Cranberry Township Park this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. to collect and properly retire American flags.
The event is free and open to the public.
An area of the park is designated to be the permanent resting spot of the ashes of the flags.
The project is in its 15th year and has collected more than 60,000 flags.
