Local farmers and merchants are once again making their products available to residents through the return of a popular Cranberry Township event.
The first Cranberry Town Square Market of the year kicks off Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. rain or shine at the Armstrong Great Lawn.
Many vendors are expected to offer farm-fresh produce, homemade crafts and goods, and other artisanal items. This free event will be hosted weekly through the beginning of September by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber.
Volunteers are also needed to help with setting up and tearing down from this event. Sign up is available online.
The event will also serve as Local Government Day with numerous township departments on hand including touch-a-truck police and fire vehicles, tours of facilities, live music, vendors, and food trucks.
