Cranberry Township will soon begin an annual maintenance operation around the municipality.
Officials say the hydrant flushing to start Monday is designed to flush sediment from the water system and to check the fire hydrants operations.
Residents may see discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure if a hydrant is being flushed at that time so it is advised to avoid doing laundry or using water as much as possible.
Officials also say that if the water does not clear after a reasonable amount of time, call Customer Service.
