Crews are on the scene of a fire this morning in Adams Township.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Mars-Evans City Road, which is near the intersection with Myoma Road.
When crews got on scene, they found heavy smoke and flames and upgraded it to a two-alarm fire.
The fire was put out after hours of work by firefighters.
The house is considered a total loss.
The fire may have started from a heater in a chicken coop on the side of the house according to our news partners at WPXI.
A portion of Mars-Evans City Road remains closed in between Myoma and Union Church Roads.
Firefighters also say the cold weather made knocking the fire out challenging.
No one was injured.
