A man who instructed two women to steal thousands of dollars’ worth of products from a CVS has pled guilty.
In October 2024, two women went into a CVS in Mars and stole $2,700 worth of Maybelline products. The two were also seen at CVS in Wexford earlier that day.
Police accused 21-year-old Vasile Ionita of organizing the scheme as he was driving the vehicle the women used to travel from store to store. On Thursday he pled guilty to two counts of conspiracy.
Ionita was sentenced to three to six months in prison with two years of probation. Since his arrest in November, Ionita has been in prison and will receive 221 days of time served making him eligible for parole.
Other costs of his plea agreement include restitution, cost of prosecution, and being banned from every CVS property.
