Dale Sheldon Weigle, 88, of Valencia, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, while under the care of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 10, 1937 in Harrisville, PA, he was the son of the late Loyal S. and Mae (Dawson) Weigle.
Dale graduated from Butler High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the Army Reserves. Upon his discharge, he went on to work for LTV Steel until his retirement. He was an active member of North Main Street Church of God, participating in numerous church activities, including bowling. Dale enjoyed going to Whitehall Camp in Emlenton, carpentry, hunting, golfing, and farming with his son, Dean. Above all else, Dale loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louella M. (Critchlow) Weigle, whom he married on March 20, 1964, three sons: David (Laura) Weigle, Danny (Peg) Weigle, and Dean (Sharon) Weigle, his daughter: Debbie (Dan) Deal; eleven grandchildren: Cody, Walker, Bailey, Sean, Amber, Austin, Kevin, Sara, Daniel, Sheldon, Jacob.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra, his sisters: Eleanor Weigle, June Allen, Orpha McCall, Coral Hook, Isla Bailey, and Rhoda Westlake, and his brothers, Lawrence and Alvin Weigle.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001. A funeral service will immediately follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Brandon Lenhart of North Main St. Church of God officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
