The late Dave Parker was one of five former MLB players honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame Sunday. The former Pirate, along with Wampum native Dick Allen were honored posthumously yesterday, along with hitting legend Ichiro Suzuki, startin pitcher CC Sabathia and closer Billy Wagner.
Parker passed away from complications of Parkinson’s disease on June 28th. He was represented by his son Dave Parker II. Allen was represented by his widow Willa.
