David “Dave” Francis Jendza, 72, of Butler, PA, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025, in his home.
Dave was born in Detroit, MI, on June 14, 1953, to the late Francis and late Lottie Jendza.
He graduated from Osborn High School in Detroit. Dave received his Bachelor of Business and Administration degree from the University of Detroit and then went on to earn his Master’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson in New Jersey. He worked as a Credit Manager for many years. Dave also worked part-time at Boscov’s for a number of years. He enjoyed participating in local trivia tournaments, going to the theatre, and watching sports at the American Legion. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida, where he was a Disney World annual passholder. While in Florida, he also enjoyed going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and visiting his daughter and grandpups.
Dave is survived by 1 son, Tyler Jendza, of Butler, PA; 1 daughter, Lindsey (Brisco) O’Donnell, of Clermont, FL; 1 sister, Charlotte (Tony) Wening, of Jefferson City, MO; 1 brother, Daniel (Kathy, deceased) Jendza, of St. Claire Shores, MI; 5 nephews, Brian, Jason, Greg, Derek and Bradley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Nelson.
Friends will be received from 4-6 pm on Monday, November 24th, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, PA. A memorial service will follow with Pastor Joel A. Benson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post 117, 413 South Main Street, Butler, PA 16001, or Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
