David G. “Dave” Landis, 77, of Meridian, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Concordia of Fox Chapel.
He was born on December 31, 1948, in Tarentum, PA, to the late Jack and Anita (Wolfe) Landis.
Dave graduated from Lower Burrell High School and went on to attend Culver Stockton College and University of Illinois. He made his career with GM and most recently Baglier Automotive Group as a Service Manager before retiring in 2010. Dave was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler where he served on the property committee and would help with various church activities. He enjoyed working on cars and was a member of The Rodfathers of Butler. Above all else, Dave loved spending time with his family; especially his three grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his son, Christopher (Gretchen) Landis; his three grandchildren, Charlotte, Max, and Luke Landis; his brother, Steve (Mary Ann) Landis; his sister; Jill (Keith) Kunkle, and his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol (Miller) Landis, whom he married on August 23, 1969, and who passed away on March 14, 2019.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM with Pastor Merry Meloy of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church officiating.
He will be laid to rest with his wife Carol in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
