The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) has announced a new five year plan for outdoor recreation.
After receiving feedback from Pennsylvanians over the past year, the DCNR recently unveiled the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan for 2025 to 2029.
This plan outlines 14 goals and 55 action steps to provide residents with outdoor recreation across over 6,000 local parks and millions of acres of state forests, parks, and game lands.
This plan is required to be updated every five years in order to maintain eligibility for federal Land and Water Conservation funding. Visit the DCNR website for more information.
