There’s still time for local young artists to submit their work to possibly get it displayed in a special exhibit in the U.S. Capitol.
According to U.S. Representative Mike Kelly of the 16th Congressional District, this year’s Congressional Art Competition is virtual.
Kelly is encouraging high school students to show off their artistic talent and be critiqued by an independent panel of local artists.
The artist of the winning local entry will receive two free round trip airfare tickets to Washington D.C. for an official reception of all national winners in July. Three runners up will have their artwork displayed in Kelly’s office in the Capitol.
All entries must be received at Kelly’s office by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 1st. Visit Kelly’s website for a complete list of rules and requirements.
