There’s still time for residents to take advantage of available state funds to help develop or expand meat or poultry processing operations.
A half million dollars is now available through the Very Small Meat and Poultry Processor Reimbursement Grant Program.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for up to $100,000 in reimbursement funding to cover costs associated opening or expanding operations as well as obtaining a grant of inspection from the USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service.
The deadline to apply to this program is 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday). Visit the Department of Community and Economic Development website to submit applications or for more information.
