Dog license enforcement is set to ramp up this week.
The Bureau of Dog Law will be traveling through Butler County starting tomorrow, making sure all dogs are properly licensed.
Over 260 dogs in the City of Butler have been flagged for enforcement along with over 240 dogs in Adams Township and Mars Borough. These targeted efforts will also include over 100 dogs in Harmony and Zelienople Boroughs.
Owners of unlicensed dogs can be fined $500.
Dog licenses are sold on the Butler County website or in-person at the Treasurer’s office inside the Butler County Government Center.
