Donald Edward Bicker, 93 of Sherrett PA, went to be with his lord and savior on Tuesday February 3, 2026.
Born February 17,1932 in Cabot. He was the son of the late Amos and Ruth Ewing Bicker.
Don Grew up on the family farm and had a deep knowledge and passion for farming, that he shared with his children and grandchildren. He was employed at Penn-Dixie Cement and Moonlight Mushroom. He Served in Greenland during the Korean War, as a radio operator for the US Army. Returning from the service he resumed his employment at Penn-Dixie where he met his wife Patricia Burrows. Don Said it was love at first sight and they got married August 11,1956 and were blessed with 60 wonderful years of marriage. Their home was filled with good food, laughter, love and everyone was welcomed at their door.
Don was known by “Pops” and will be remembered for his kindness, his loving and giving heart, his devotion to his family and to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
His memory will forever live on and flourish by his children, Donald Richard (Debbie) Bicker of Dayton PA, Frederick W. (Debbie) Bicker of Sarver, Judy Hollobaugh of Sherrett, and a special niece Dena (Charles) Hays. His sisters Anna Freeling, of Cabot, Ruth Gross of Cabot; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia February 28, 2017.
A very special thank you to the Good Samaritan Hospice as they lovingly took care of Pops during these last 10 months. Pops adored his caregivers, Niki, Tammy, Patty, and Cheryl. And to the Embassy of Saxonburg for the love, care and kindness they gave to Pops on his respite stays. They were all a gift from the Lord.
“To God be the Glory, great things he hath done! He blessed this dear family with a man who loved the Lord and showed that love through repentance, forgiveness and salvation. Praise the Lord for the Lord is good Amen.
Friends will be received Thursday February 5, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Fox Funeral Home Inc. in Saxonburg. A funeral service will be held Friday February 6, 2026, at 11:00am at Zion Methodist Community Church 438 Bear Creek Rd, Sarver PA 16055 with Pastor Seth McClymonds officiating.
Interment will be in Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
