The Salvation Army is collecting funds to help families impacted by explosion at the Clairton Coke Plant.
When the explosion first happened, the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services provided meals, bottles of water, and various different recovery items.
They now are seeking monetary donations to help the families of two men who died, those who have family members still in the hospital, and those injured in the blast.
100 percent of donations will be given to the families. If you would like to donate you can text the word “steel” to 31333 or donate online.
