Douglas Ritzert, 74, of Evans City passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born in Grove City on July 28, 1951, to the late George and Twila (Fehl) Ritzert. Douglas graduated from Seneca Valley High School and was employed at PennDOT, as a heavy equipment truck driver, for 35 years until his retirement. He was known for being a great husband, father, friend and extremely hardworking. Douglas was always someone who had to be busy; he enjoyed hunting, running machines and working on local farms. He was a social member of the Veterans Club of Forest County. Douglas was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Flint) Ritzert, since their marriage on March 2, 1973; brother of Marlene (Wayne) Bird; he is also survived by his niece, Emily and nephew, Wayne (Bayleigh) Bird, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Ritzert. All services will be held privately through SPENCER D.
