Emma J. Waldroup

Emma J. Waldroup, 89, of Karns City, went to be with the Lord in the comfort of her home Sunday morning, August 30, 2026.
Emma was born in Butler on January 3, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Jennie Elliott.
She was a graduate of Butler High School. Emma was a devoted Christian and a member of the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church.
Emma was a loving homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and playing the organ. Throughout the years, Emma and her husband had been foster parents, having provided a caring home for many children.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Waldroup, whom she married in Butler on August 25, 1956. Mr. Waldroup preceded her in death on July 7, 2023.
She is survived by eight children and their spouses, James and Ginny Walker, Robin and Ronald Blake, Larry and Brenda Walker, Thomas and Linda Waldroup, Barbara Matson, Brenda Atherton, Donald Waldroup, and Shawn and Sheila Waldroup, as well as 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie and her husband, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, 127 Crisswell Rd., Karns City. A funeral service will follow from the church at 1 p.m. with church pastor Paul DeBacco, officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery in the Village of Kepple’s Corners.
