Eugene Leslie Heath, Sr. of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday August 3, 2025 at the age of 94.
A Korean War veteran, he was born to William and May Heath in Butler on July 27, 1931. He served as a Butler police officer from 1952-1972.
He is survived by his children: Linda Rowsey (Ken), Edgewater, FL; Nancy Williams (Lane), Winston-Salem, NC; Mary Bennett Gordon, Holly Hill, FL; Brenda Wiggins (Mike), Port Orange, FL; Lisa Becker (Jeff), Odessa, FL; Susan Merritt, Pineville, LA; Leslie Ray (Chris), Butler, Pa Grandchildren: Donna & Joe Sadelfeld, Amanda Story, Joseph & Michael Pike, Richard Bennett, Jr., Aaron Williamson, Patrick & Erica Roeper, Ashley Roeper, Danielle & Bryan Midlik, David & Ali Becker, Madeline Stevison, Cameron & Colton Dero. Thirteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, son Eugene, Jr. and 6 siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
Burial with full military honors directed by the Butler Co. Honor Guard will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
