Evelyn “Evie” Antoszyk, 99, of Butler passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at New Haven Court, in Butler, where she resided for the past 10 years. She was born in Sharpsburg, PA on August 21, 1923, to the late James and Lena Acquavita. She graduated from Mars High School and Pittsburgh Floral Academy.
Evie and her husband were co-owners of Walter’s Florist Shop and Antoszyk’s Greenhouse & Nursery. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. Evie loved gardening, growing flowers and canning. Her and her husband were “snowbirds” for 32 years, they loved traveling the U.S. and were amazing dancers.
Evie was the beloved wife of the late Walter Antoszyk, whom she married on August 30, 1952; mother of Rosemary (Gene) Kriley, Marie (Don) Plyler and Steve (Terri) Antoszyk; grandmother of Eric (Donna) and Brad (Tanya) Kriley, Stush and Shelby Antoszyk; great grandmother, Julie (Devin) Blum, Alayna (Will) Fechter. Andrew, Evan (Berkeley), Timber and Ryder Kriley; great great grandmother of Avalina, Devin, Kadance, Dalton, Kayleigh and Cyrus Blum.
