As the calendar gets ready to flip to October, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is planning to begin fall foliage reports.
With the leaves getting ready to turn colors, the state will help leaf peepers know the latest about where peak foliage is emerging.
The state DCNR estimates the fall tourism industry is worth an estimated $83.9 billion in economic impact.
The first report will be released Thursday.
